Douglas S. "DS" Bigham (pronounced /bɪgəm/) is an American-born linguist whose work focuses on social contact, the emerging adulthood experience, and queer identities in a post-geographic world. He is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at San Diego State University and Editor-in-Chief of Popular Linguistics Magazine ( http://popularlinguisticsonline.org/ ), a bi-monthly online magazine "that brings language- and linguistics-focused stories and research to the masses" (currently on hold due to technical difficulties).
