Graduate Student, Psychology
About
I am a Social Psychology MA student at SDSU, working with Dr. Melody Sadler. I also work in Dr. David Liu's EEG Lab at UCSD. Following my MA, I plan to apply to PhD programs in social-cognitive neuroscience.
My research interests are generally within the realm of social and embodied cognition, investigating implicit social inference and affect. My current work is primarily in mind perception and threat processing, as well as how these processes contribute to stereotyping and prejudice. For instance, my thesis investigates how dimensions of a target mind modulate empathetic processes (perspective-taking, affective and sensorimotor contagion). In collaboration with a few others, I am currently working on a variety of projects under this umbrella.
