About
I am a doctoral student in the Joint Doctoral Program in Global Health at San Diego State University/UC San Diego. I received a Master of Science in epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to starting my doctoral program, I worked in various public health research projects including HIV/AIDS research at the New York City Department of Health, program evaluation and survey research in Somalia, and infectious disease surveillance at the California Emerging Infections Program. My current research interests are diagnostic medicine, tuberculosis control, sociopolitical determinants of health, and migrant health. I was also a founding member of the Korean Americans United for Peace in the San Francisco Bay Area.
